Here’s some stuff you need to know about Lekkerland…

First, you need to be there… The concert is at The Village Green in Dullstroom. Gates open at 10:00 on Saturday 1 April, and the carnival will continue into the evening. Tickets are R135 for adults and entrance is FREE for kids under 12. Go to Plankton.mobi or Computicket to book now, as tickets at the gate are limited.

Second, there’s the music… The concert is headlined by Die Heuwels Fantasties, Matthew Mole and Riana Nel, and includes a support cast of artists like Valiant Swart, The Oh So Serious, Josie Field and Laurie Levine. Pretty epic hey.

Third, everyone is welcome! Lekkerland is family-friendly, with a secure kids’ zone, entertainers like jugglers and stilt-walkers, food stalls, and a craft beer tent. So bring along all your funky, friendly, funny and lekker friends. (Family, too.)

Fourth, some stuff is more lekker than other stuff. Like picnics… Picnics are lekker. But food that other people have made is also lekker, so there’ll be food for all tastes for sale if you don’t feel like bringing your own.

Sun-hats, funny hats, sunnies, factor 50, face paint, dress-up, disguise, fancy-dress, and something warm for later… All of these are lekker.

Bringing your own drinks, illegal substances, drugs, fire-arms, weapons, fire-works, crackers, hubbly bubblies, gazebos, camping chairs, umbrellas, braais and open fires… All of these are NOT lekker. Download a full list of FAQ’s here.

And lastly, winning is lekker. So share your photos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to win goodie bags loaded with lekker stuff. (Remember to use @LekkerlandZA  and #LekkerlandZA)
