Lekkerland Carnival, it’s going to be lekker!
King Price and KykNET have come together, with Hilltop Live, to create a fun family carnival full of music and entertainment.
King Price is more than just a visionary company that’s changing the way insurance is done. They’re also a tight knit, fun-loving family. Like any family they have values, and one of these is ‘fun with a little madness’… And Lekkerland Carnival is a perfect expression of this. The entertainment line-up is as ‘out there’ as their kingdom – it’ll definitely be worth your while to get to Dullstroom on 1 April and check out the craziness for yourself.
1 April might be April Fool’s Day but Lekkerland Carnival is no joke!
There will be a multitude of unplugged live music sessions at a selection of restaurants and venues on the Friday and Sunday, the actual carnival will be held on the Dullstroom Village Green on Saturday 1 April. The concert is headlined by Die Heuwels Fantasties, Matthew Mole and Riana Nel, and includes a support cast of artists like Valiant Swart, The Oh So Serious, Josie Field and Laurie Levine, with the Jägermeister Brass Cartel roaming the streets alongside the BDI Street Performance Troupe. The Lekkerland Carnival is family friendly with a kids’ zone, entertainers like jugglers and stilt-walkers, and stalls, food stalls and a craft beer tent.
Dullstroom, which is proud of its title of ‘the best small town in SA’ has interesting shops, galleries and eateries, and additional carnival activities include whisky and craft beer tastings, cheese tastings, food markets, and a wide range of arts and crafts activities for the children.
Just a 2.5-hour drive from both Johannesburg and Pretoria, the Lekkerland Carnival in Dullstroom is the perfect end-of-quarter mini-break… And visitors are encouraged to make a weekend of it! Check out lekkerland.co.za for accommodation advice and bookings, and book your carnival tickets at the same time!
Lekkerland Carnival kicks off at 9am and will end after 10pm. Tickets include access to the unplugged shows on 31 March and 2 April – but seats are limited, so please book in advance.
See you at Lekkerland Carnival!
